Doctors
Dr. Pat Hill is an experienced and qualified Family Doctor and Orthopaedic Physician. He is a graduate from UCC Medical School. He has been practising in Cork for over 20 years. He is a trainer on Cork GP Training Scheme for over 10 year.
Dr Mortimer O’Connor, a native of Cork, studied Medicine at University College Cork. He graduated in 2006 and has since pursued a career in General Medicine. After over 15 years of Hospital Medicine, across Cork & Kerry, he completed his specialist training in General Practice, under the guidance of the South West GP training scheme. He became a Member of the ICGP in 2024. He joined the Blackpool Medical Centre in 2024.
Along with General Practice, he has a special interest in Rheumatology and Sports & Exercise Medicine. He has worked as a Team Doctor for almost 10 years with Republic of Ireland football teams, along with other sports such as GAA and horse racing. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons in 2024. He is recognised by the Irish Medical Council as a Specialist in Sports & Exercise Medicine.
Dr Danielle O' Brien has joined the team from July 2024 and is attached to the Cork Gp Training Scheme. She brings a strong background in hospital medicine with her. She has a particular expertise in Women’s Health.
Nurses
Bernie Downing is our experienced practice nurse. She can give you help on many aspects of your health care from ladies health to childhood immunisations, as well as doing dressings, suture removal etc.
Aideen Hill is a fully qualified general nurse with higher qualifications and specialised training in childrens nursing from The Childrens Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin. Aideen works as nurse and is also responsible for managerial and reception duties.
Receptionists
Caroline O’Riordan is our friendly and efficient receptionist, who handles our administration and will be delighted to make an appointment for you and answer your queries on 021 4505118.
Teresa Ryan is our popular and efficient receptionist and facilitates appointments and the day to day running of the practice.
